Top Broadway Tickets For The Fall Season

There are some great Broadway tickets for the new Fall season and some must see shows for all who love theater. Although there are many new openings coming soon there are also great musicals and plays which have been playing since the Spring such as Billy Elliot and West Side Story which are not to be missed.
Though things have been slow on Broadway with the economy Broadway tickets are still selling. The theaters have not been selling out as much as normal and that is providing some deals on seats to shows. Take advantage of these deals and catch some of these great productions while amazing deals can be had.
1) Billy Elliot - A musical that is not to be missed as it transferred from London and was nominated for 9 Oliver Awards of which the musical took home 4 including Best New Musical. The story is heartwarming and has the great Musical Score from Elton John. The Broadway production went on to win ten Tony Awards including Best Musical.
2) West Side Story - The revival of the original Broadway production has returned and is winning over audiences since it opened. Fans have waited thirty years to see one of the most classic American musicals ever created and the show has not disappointed. If looking for a classic night out on The Great White Way then this show will not let you down.
3) Wicked - Wicked is of course one of the most popular shows and does pretty good with the Broadway ticket sales. Ever since it opened it has been a leader at the box office and the show keeps audiences entertained and wanting more year after year. If you have seen this hit musical then now may be the time as there have been some good deals on tickets lately.
4) A Steady Rain - One of the more anticipated shows opening in the Fall is "A Steady Rain" staring Hugh Jackman as Denny and Daniel Craig as Joey. The production is a Broadway play which promises to deliver in every way. Previews will start on September 10, 2009 with an official opening on September 29, 2009 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theater.
5) Spiderman - The comic series is being brought to life on the Broadway stage and there is a lot of chatter for the production. With Julie Taymor behind the direction and shining new light into the journey of this Superhero character it would be hard to believe the show will not be a huge hit and sell many Broadway tickets this Fall. One big draw which will have fans rushing the gate is the fact that the Musical and Lyrics are being done by Bono and The Edge of the U2 rock band fame.
Wether looking to catch one of the great American classics such as "West Side Story" or a ten time Tony Award winning production such as the heartwarming musical "Billy Elliot" there has never been a better time to get out onto The Great White Way for a evening of entertainment. Broadway tickets have been more accessible then ever and some great deals can be had for those who search. This Fall promises to add even greater productions and "A Steady Rain" along with "Spiderman" are some of the big hits to come in the next months. When to Plant Flowers Outdoors
When you are planning out your planting calendar for your outdoor flower garden, there are several things that you need to keep in mind. Two of the main factors are what type of plant you are planting and what type of climate that you live in, as these will both be very important factors in your planting schedule. Another thing to factor in is the current weather as every year can be different. If you have early spring plants, you may have to hold off on planting them until you are sure that the last frost is gone if it's a particularly cold year. The best time to start your flower garden varies depending on the type of plant as well.
Annuals

Annual plants are those that need to be planted again every year. These are more delicate plants and you need to make sure that they are planted after the last spring frost, otherwise there is a very good chance that they will freeze with the next cold snap. There are a couple of exceptions which include violas and pansies. These are sold as cold weather annuals and can last through harsher weather conditions.

Bare Root Perennials

Perennials are sold either as bare root plants or container grown. If you have purchased a dormant bare root plant, as soon as you can work the ground, you can plant it. This is when the soil is no longer frozen but not wet and muddy either. Dormant bare root plants need to wake up slowly with the season and this is the perfect way to do this. If you have to store the plant before planting it, you want to keep it in a cool, dark place, but only for a couple of days. Get it in the ground as soon as possible and keep it out of warm areas or else the root may start to grow before you have a chance to transplant.
Container Grown Perennial Plants

If the container grown perennial has been grown outdoors, you can transplant it as soon as you purchase it, assuming that the ground is workable. Those which have been grown in a greenhouse, however, need time to adapt to the outdoor conditions. These can be hardened by setting the pot out in the sun each morning and keeping it in a more protected area during the remainder of the day and night. Make sure that it also has protection from the wind and the frost if it has leafed out. Keep it watered enough so that the soil is as moist as a wrung out sponge. After leaving it in these conditions for a week, you can transplant the flowers into your garden.

If you are in doubt about when to plant flowers outdoors, talk to your local nursery. Workers there will know all about proper planting times or will have the means to find out. The tags that come with most flowers will also give you a good idea of when they should be placed in the ground.
